Prime Minister Dahal Emphasizes Transforming Nepal into a Hub for Higher Education

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has advocated for the development of Nepal as a central hub for higher education. Speaking at the ninth Senate of the Karnali Academy of Health Sciences, PM Dahal expressed a clear vision for establishing Nepal as a premier destination for advanced studies.

During his address, the Prime Minister commended the Karnali Academy of Health Sciences (KAHS) for welcoming international students, expressing his satisfaction in the institution's commitment to providing direct health services to the geographically disadvantaged communities in the Karnali and Far Western provinces.

Highlighting the Academy's contributions during health crises, including the COVID-19 pandemic and earthquakes, PM Dahal stressed the responsibility of KAHS to enhance the quality and accessibility of its services. He emphasized the importance of producing graduates who are highly competitive, skilled, and dedicated to serving the nation with integrity.

PM Dahal acknowledged the Academy's recent progress and expressed confidence that it would take significant strides in innovation-based studies, research, and invention. Additionally, he urged KAHS to play a pivotal role in medicine production, utilizing natural resources and heritage.

Addressing challenges such as inadequate roads and a shortage of skilled medical professionals, PM Dahal pledged government support to tap into the immense potential of Karnali. He assured that concerns and demands from doctors, technicians, and staff at the Academy would be gradually addressed.

In closing, Prime Minister Dahal encouraged KAHS to undertake necessary initiatives for medicine production, reinforcing the government's commitment to overcoming resource constraints and fostering growth in the region.
